Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple computer passed away this week. This man was perhaps the most admired man of our generation. He had many visions and he made them into realities. Some of these visions included the iPhone, iPad, better computer graphics and more.
Personally, I had never used an Apple product until approximately 2 1/2 years ago. My old Toshiba computer was constantly giving me problems with slow speeds, viruses and other annoying problems. My daughter, a college freshman at the time, said that I should get a MacBook since they are so easy to use. She learned on an Apple computer in grade school and insisted on getting an Apple when she went to college. Even thought the Macbook was slightly more expensive than other laptops, I broke down and bought a Macbook Pro in April 2009. This was the best decision I ever made in my life. Once I learned the basics of the Macbook, I was hooked and will never go back to PC. I also had to purchase an iPhone and iPad. If I wasn’t in the midst of paying 2 college tuitions and a Catholic High School tuition which amounts to about $5,000 a month, I’d probably go out and buy an Apple Desktop too since they have a huge screen which would be so kind to my aging eyes.
Steve Jobs biography is coming out on October 24th. I have already reserved my copy as this guy is a true inspiration. If you haven’t read some of the comments on his obituary at legacy.com, you will be amazed at the love the World has for this man.
