“Watch the Throne Tour” Tickets
Two legendary performers, Kanye West and Jay-Z have formed a brand new group with the name of “The Throne.” They have also announced an upcoming album and their new tour for 2011 appropriately named: ”Watch the Throne.”
The iTunes Store will have “Watch the Throne” available for download on August 8th. However, you can preorder it as early as today, Monday, July 25th. ”Watch the Throne” is being produced by Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam Recordings/Roc Nation. The lead track on the album is named “Otis” and it has been called “one of the most purely soulful songs the two have ever made together ” this is from a quote by Gentlemen’s Quarterly (GQ). This album took over a year to make and the longtime friends did recordings in New York, Paris, the United Kingdom, Abu Dhabi, Sydney and Paris. The joint album was a big secret and those who have already heard it call it an absolute masterpiece. Some of the featured vocals on the album include: Beyonce (Jay-Z’s wife), Curtis Mayfield, Frank Ocean and Mr. Hudson. Hot 97′s FunkMasterFlex show streamed the opening track “Otis” to NYC listeners last Wednesday, July 20th. The song called “Otis” amazingly weaves all time great Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness.”
The album features both Jay-Z and Kanye West at their best and any soul or rapper fan will want to see the two live in concert and own the recording. In previous productions, they have both been guests for each other’s headlining tours but they now will come together unlike any previous effort for a blockbuster concert tour.
