Cheap 2011 Incubus Tickets
Loads of American based rock bands have tried their luck to become successful in this very competitive and very glamorous industry of music but a few rock bands have emerged as a complete success because the type of work they have presented and the level of commitment they have shown to their work. One such committed rock band that has already earned a much respected name in North America is called Incubus. Incubus was formed in California by the initial line up of Brandon Boyd, Alex Katunich, Mike Einziger, and Jose Pasillas when they were all still in school. Later on the addition of two more member extended this group to a full fledged band. Dirk Lance and DJ Lyfe were brought in as two additional members but interestingly both of them didn’t stay long and they were eventually replaced by Ben Kenny and DJ Kilmore.
The story of band formation started when four members of the band were still in the tenth grade but had immense passion to pursue their career in music. The decision of pursuing this career together in the form of a single band led to the formation of Incubus. In the initial days of the band, the biggest supporter of the band was their school’s music and math teacher who had already helped many other school aged music artists. This was the time when the band, Incubus had already started recording their first demo tape so that a contract with a Recording Company could be assured. The school’s music teacher, Joanne, had a very influential personality along with several close contacts in the music industry. One such contact was with a producer Jim Wart and his wife Kathleen. This contact proved out to be a miracle for the band as they were given free recording time by 4th Street Recording.
The first album of the band was recorded and released and was titled “Enjoy Incubus.” Before this album could be officially released, a turntablist, Gavin Koppell, who is better known by his stage name DJ Lyfe, decided to join the band. The second album of the band was named “S.C.I.E.N.C.E.” It was a mere science that even before the second album could officially be released, Gavin Koppell was fired. All of the group members were of the view that Koppell didn’t fit in with the values of the band and therefore he was continuously disrupting the family-like attitude of the band. When Koppell was removed from the band line-up, a friend recommended that band should give a chance to Chris Kilmore. Chris Kilmore had very pleasing personality and had positive attitude towards everything. All of the Incubus members unanimously decided that Chris Kilmore should brought in so as to replace Gavin Koppell.
Incubus members embarked on several of important tours to promote their album “S.C.I.E.N.C.E.” This album was a moderate success but failed to provide a major breakthrough to the band as only 2 million copies could be sold without taking any kind of support from notable media channels like radio and TV. After the release of this album, Incubus decided to rest for two months so that all of the members could get focused again to start working on their third album which was going to be a major commercial success. The third album is named “Make Yourself.” After three or four weeks of initial recording, Incubus realized that recording quality isn’t good with their current producer, Jim Wirt. Thus a decision to work without a producer was taken.
From this album hit singles like “Drive” and “Stellar” were released that gave a new identity to Incubus. The very first single to be a big hit was “Privilege.” Another single, “Pardon Me,” was also released, however, this single wasn’t well received until Brandon and Mike performed this song live on the Radio.
Incubus’ brand new album “If Not Now, When?” was released on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. The album’s lead single is interestingly named “Adolescents” and it was posted for their millions of loyal fans on the band’s website April 4, 2011. Did you download their new single yet?
