Sigur Rós hails from Iceland and they have been together for about 18 years, forming in the mid-90′s. They are mainly recognized for their ethereal sound from their lead singer Jonsi Birgisson’s falsetto vocals and their use of a bowed guitar. They do an amazing job of incorporating both classical and minimalist elements into their music. The band is named after Jonsi’s sister Sigurrós.

Jerry Seinfeld is best known for his popular television show “Seinfeld” which was on the air between 1989 and 1998. He is an incredibly talented actor, comedian, writer and film producer. He also was involved with the following productions: ”Bee Movie,” “The Marriage Ref,” and “Long Story Short.”

His comedy specialty is observational humor and he focuses on uncomfortable social obligations and personal relationships. Seinfeld was honored by Comedy Central as being one of the 12 greatest stand-up comedians of all time. He is in his late 50′s but acts half his age when he is performing his comedy routine.

Seinfeld has recently announced that he will be returning to his roots on 5 Thursday evenings during October and November this year. It has been 14 years since this talented comedian has performed a full stand-up performance in his hometown. He decided on Thursday nights for his upcoming shows since it would be the same day his highly successful show ran on television. He will probably include his experiences as a New Yorker in his routine since he knows New York quite well considering he was born in Brooklyn, went to school in the Queens and began doing comedy in Manhattan. Comcast Center Schedule

Comcast Center in in close proximity to Boston, Massachusetts, being only 30 miles south. This makes the amphitheatre easily accessible for most Bostonians. It’s located at the intersection of I-495 and Rout 140. This popular venue is also referred to by its previous names – Tweeter Center and the Great Woods. The original name of Comcast Center was the Great Woods Center for the Performing Arts. Tweeter purchased the naming rights for the venue in 1999 and it was known as the Tweeter Center until this company ran into financial difficulties. They later relinquished naming rights and in 2008 Comcast purchased the naming rights.

This popular venue was the top-grossing amphitheatre of the decade 2000-2010 according to Billboard Magazine. Being an outdoor amphitheatre, the Comcast Center is only open from May – September. The seating capacity for this venue is 19,900 of which 7,000 are located in the pavilion under cover.

Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller Tickets

Two popular rappers, Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller have joined together for an amazing tour during the hot summer of 2012. These two guys are hilarious and full of energy. They are especially popular with college students and their popularity continues to soar.

Below is a list of their upcoming shows for 2012. Their show in the Chicago area in Tinley Park has been very popular but seats are still available. They will move onto the Indianapolis area on Saturday, July 28th and perform at the Klipsch Music Center. Later, they’ll head out of the hot Midwest states and up to Canada (where it’s hopefully cooler!!). After a short stop on July 29th in Toronto, Wiz and Mac go onto the Eastern Seaboard and perform in Maine at Scarborough Downs, in Mansfield MA at the Comcast Center and at the legendary Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre in Wantagh Long Island, NY. After their show in Long Island, they’ll head over to the Philly area and perform in Camden, NJ at the Susquehanna Bank Center on August 3rd. After Camden, on August 4th they’ll head westbound to the Pittsburgh area and perform at the First Niagara Pavilion in suburban Burgettstown. On the following day, their tour takes them to the Detroit area and the talented duo will be live in Clarkston, MI at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. After their Michigan concert, they’ll take about a month off and then travel westbound to the picturesque Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on September 1st. Their last scheduled concert in 2012 is on Labor Day, September 3rd, at the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul, MN.

Blossom Music Center is located halfway between Akron and Cleveland and every year a multitude of exciting concerts come to Blossom. This great venue has alot to offer because you can either get lawn seats, pit seats or VIP seats which often give you waitress service and nearby parking. Sometimes you can even get lawn seats for very good prices especially if you wait until the day of the show to reserve your seats. Jeff Dunham is the stage name of Jeffrey William Robinson who was born in April 1962. Dunham was born in Texas. Although he was not born to a rich family he enjoyed a luxurious childhood because he was adopted by a real estate agent who was also a homemaker. Dunham started performing before large audiences from a very early age. His dummies would accompany him where ever he would go. Even when Jeff wrote an article for his school magazine, he commented that one of his dummy has served him as a co-author. When Jeff was in his college, several offers held him busy as he had to fly from one place to another in order to perform in shows organized by companies like General Electric. CEO of General specially invited Jeff to fly over to perform in one of the company event as before that Jeff had mocked CEO during one of his show. After the graduation got completed, Jeffrey left not only Baylor University but also said good-bye to Texas as he had decided to move to Los Angeles.

Jeff often remarked about his decision that unlike other graduates, I had no plans to land on a real job. His art was enough to earn him a decent living. Soon, Jeff got a chance to appear in a Broadway show, Sugar Babies. In this show two other big names, Mickey Rooney and Ann Miller, were also present with Jeff. Jeff’s work on Long Island was well received in which he used the famous character Jose Jalapeno. This experience helped Jeff learn the regional differences. Early on, Jeff used to crack the same jokes at every place but then he realized that content that was enjoyed by Texas residents was not that amusing for people living on Long Island. For that reason, Jeff adopted the art of providing entertainment customized to that particular region so that his audience’s attention was kept intact.

A big breakthrough for Dunham was to appear in the famous show, The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. In that show, Dunham’s performance was liked so much so that Dunham was called to sit on the couch of Johnny Carson. For Jeff that was indeed a big opportunity, however, for next twelve years, Jeff still was somewhat far away from being a famous comic figure. He introduced yet another character, Walter, with which he appeared in a commercial that was for the advertisement of Hertz. Moreover, he also performed several small roles on TV. The big day did come when Dunham was given 30 minutes live on Comedy Central. The three characters that Jeff worked with in those thirty minutes included Jalapeno, Walter and Peanut. Jeff performed well but thw Management of Comedy Central was of the view that Jeff wasn’t the kind of talent they required. However, Jeff’s agents came in handy here and convinced the management that Comedy central required diverse talent. Thus for the first time, a one hour long solo appearance was announced with the tag line: “Jeff Dunham arguing with Myself.” And, folks, that’s the story of Jeff Dunham’s rise to stardom.

L.A. County Fair Tickets

This is the 90th year for the L.A. County Fair which begins on Friday, August 31st. The fair will go on for 30 days and culminate on Sunday, September 30th. The fair brought in 1.5 million people in 2011 which was the second largest attendance ever.

This fair is the largest county fair in the United States and there is something for everyone. The End of Summer Concert Series has 19 nights of entertainment with just about every genre covered. If you love fair food, this is the place to be since there are 300 plus varieties of yummy goodies waiting for you – just don’t ask about the calories!!

The End of Summer Concert Series hosts many big names for nightly concerts. Often tickets for these concerts at the L.A. County Fair are quite cheap. 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre Concert Schedule

The 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheatre is the biggest facility in the Tampa Bay Area and it is meant only to be used for concerts. It was originally named the Ford Amphitheatre and it is located on the eastern side of Tampa next to Interstate 4. This venue has a seating capacity of about twenty-thousand. On July 25, 2004, this facility was first opened. The inaugural name for this outdoor amphitheatre was the Ford Amphitheatre. About 6 years later in 2010 a referral service for lawyers purchased the naming rights. These “so-called” naming rights began on June 10, 2010 and go for a total of 3 years until June 10, 2013.

Just in case you were wondering, the Tampa Bay population absolutely hates the new name. The local paper, the St. Petersburg Times even had an online poll asking what people thought of the new name and the majority of Tampa Bay residents responded with opinions such as they though the name was stupid and/or we hate the name.

Many music festivals are held at this state-of-art amphitheatre annually. On the first Sunday of every December, it hosts an all day rock festival which features mainly alternative rock bands. Over the years many complaints about excessive noise have been made by nearby residents so the venue has put a wall up so noise is kept to a minimum.
