2012 American Idols Live Concert Tickets

Simon Fuller didn’t have the slightest idea that the reality show he created would become one of the most favorite reality shows of all time and that it would be loved across the globe. In 2002, he created American Idol which was the competitive search for a singing superstar. It was created by Simon Fuller and produced by Fremantle Media North America and 19 Entertainment. This reality show was aired on the Fox Channel for the first time on June 11, 2002. Every year this competition in on the air, it gains more and more popularity. Every year, the number of followers increases and each participating contestants desire to get selected as the American Idol of the current season grows more intensely.

According to a research agency, Nielsen, it was concluded that as of June 2011, American Idols Live is the most watched TV show and this history has continued for seven continuous seasons of this program. The purpose of the program is to find the singing star of America. For that Judges and viewers screen out contestants further as the season of the program catches its momentum and in the finale only one contestant is left which is declared as the American Idol of that season. In the entire history of American Television, no other reality show could be the number one most watched TV series for seven consecutive seasons. Previously, this record was with TV series “All in the Family” and “The Cosby Show” both of which had the record of being at number one for five consecutive seasons.

Altough the final decision of the contestant’s victory is done by the viewers of the show by the mean of telephone and text messaging, nonetheless the show also employs a panel of judges who also critiques the performance of each contestant and assigns points accordingly. Originally the panel of Judges included Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell. But in seasons following, the panel of these judges experienced several changes and many other American personalities were brought into the capacity of American Idol Show Judges.

It is not merely the executives of Fox that declared this reality show a miracle and huge commercial success for the channel, but also the executives of rival channels seem to confess overtly that this reality show has been very impactful and has affected the life of every American in a very pleasant way. It has not only helped the creator and the production team to gain good rewards for their brilliant efforts but has also transformed the lives of the declared American Idols. All of the new artists who were able to make their way to the top eventually moved on to pursue their musical career with a privileged victory already in their profiles.

The history of American Idol does start from an Australian show “Pop Stars” which originally presented the idea of selecting the singing star with the help of a panel of judges and viewers input by the means of the telephone. A British Producer decided to launch a show on same lines in England and thus aired a show named Pop Idol in England. This show included several of the aspects which later became part of American Idol.

In 2001, Fuller and Cowell excitedly decided to sell the “Pop Idol” to one of the owners of American News Channel. To their dismay none of the American TV Channels were interested about investing in the show. The daughter of Rupert Murdoch, Elisabeth, however forced her father who was then the head of Fox’s parent company to buy that show. She has been the keen viewer of the British show and wanted that reality show to be launched for Americans. Eventually, Fox bought the rights and renamed the program to American Idol Live so people of America could associate themselves to this show. This was the right decision taken by the head as the show became the most watched TV series for seven straight seasons. Thanks to the judges and Simon Cowell biting his tongue on occasion, viewers interest has been kept intact. Randy Johnson remains as a judge and he is now joined by Jennifer Lopez and Stephen Tyler of Aerosmith. This threesome has been well received by longtime American Idol fans around the World. This show will continue to be on the air at least until 2013.

All these young dudes join to form Big Time Rush, an American pop group created by Nickelodeon Viacom Music and TV Production.  They became popular with the American Television series Big Time Rush and soon afterward it hit the music scene with its breathtaking album.   Kendall Schmidt is one out the four boys. He was born on November 2,1990 and is an American actor, singer, dancer and a fine guitarist. He is the soul of the band. James Maslow is the vocalist who was born on July 16, 1990 and is also American. He is clueless at playing the piano although he is a good actor, singer and dancer too. Carlos Pena Jr. and Logan Henderson are the other two members of the band, born on August 15 and September 14, 1989 respectively. Logan is much loved for being an accomplished rapper.

When the show was conceived and about to be produced, a nationwide casting effort began in 2007. It was hard to select as 1500+ girls and guys were there to audition. In 2009, the show was began filming.  Scott Fellows performed the duties of the executive producer.  The TV channel Nickelodeon and Columbia/Epic Label Group partnered to produce the show.

When the show became a big hit, the boys were requested and demanded to be a real live performing music group by their fans.   As their original music was incorporated into the series, it was hugely admired.   After the series, it was announced that the group due to the persuasion of their fans would form a live performing group in real and the name of the band was taken from the title of the show.

The band released their first single “Big Time Rush” from the series theme song in November 2009.  During the show’s first season, the group kept on releasing the other tracks. The single “Big Time Rush” was highly applauded and it received tremendous fame.  The other singles by the group were  “Any Kind Of Guy,” “Halfway There” and “Famous.”  The group released  “Til’ I Forget About You” in 2010 and called it the promotional single of their debut album.

The complete album by the group was titled “B.T.R.” and it was released on October 11, 2010.  The album received a nice warm welcome and it successfully debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 Album’s Charts in the United States.  In April 2011, it was certified Gold for sales of over 500,000 copies.  Big Time Rush is also considered Nickelodeon’s most successful show of all time.  It has no doubt been a big success for not only the group but also for the Nickelodeon channel.

The band earned the nomination for Favorite International Band in 2010 at the Australian Kids Choice Awards.  For the first time in the categories for Favorite TV Show and Favorite Music Group, the group was nominated for the US Kids Choice Awards again in 2011.  They were also nominated for a 2011 Teen Choice Award.

Miranda Lambert Continues to Amaze Her Audiences

American singer Miranda Leigh Lambert is the most loved and in demand country music artist of America. She was born on November 10, 1983 in Longview, Texas. She was born to Richard Lee Rick Lambert and Beverly June Lambert. As Rick was retired police officer, he taught her daughter about guns but once she attended a concert in her age of nine, she took great interest in music. She participated in talent contests and started playing in local restaurants in a very young age.

Appearing on the Johnny High Country Music Review in Arlington helped her to launch her music career as a country singer. She was only at sixteen at that time. She was interested in writing songs herself and playing guitar, so she took the assistance of her father to guide her on these lines. She was attending the high school when she made her professional singing debut.

Miranda participated in a talent show in 2003 and got the third position. Soon she was signed to Epic Records in 2003. In the next year, her debut album was released by the title Kerosene which comprised twelve songs. Eleven of the songs were co-written by her. The album got a warm reception and soon it made it position at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. It was sold like hot cakes in the market and blessing Miranda with platinum. By July 2008, it successfully sold more than 930,000 copies of the album. Its title track peaked at the Top 20 hit and rest of many singles ranked in the Top 40 on the Billboard Country Charts. One of its hit single was Me and Charlie Talking which was its debut single.

In support of this album, Miranda toured with Keith Urban and George Strait in 2006 and also with Dierks Bentley and Toby Keith in the next year. Encouraged by her debut album, she released her second album Crazy Ex-Girlfriend in 2007. The album had eleven tracks and eight of the singles were written by her. The most in demand and applauded song was Gunpowder & Lead which became the highest charting single of the album. The album won Album of the Year Award at the 2008 ACM Awards.

Miranda’s beautiful voice and music skills earned her the Cover Girl Fresh Face of Country Music Award at the 40th Annual Academy of Country Music. She was also nominated for the CMA’S Horizon Award in 2005 and 2007. She succeeded to win a Grammy nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for her single Kerosene. At the 2007, ACM Awards, she earned the Top New Female Vocalist Award.

In the late 2009, Miranda released her new album Revolution which contained fifteen tracks and eleven were written by her. She also released an EP by the title Dead Flowers a little bit before her third album. Her album Revolution embraced a critical appreciation. White Liar was the second single by the album and it debuted at number 50 on the U.S Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart but later in 2010, it peaked at number two on this chart. Her single Only Prettier topped at number 12. At the start of the year 2011, she released Heart Like Mine from her album Revolution and it topped at the number one on the Country Charts. It is announced by Lambert that her new studio album, Four the Record will be released in November 2011.

One of our most beloved musicians of all time, James Taylor has announced his 2012 Concert Tour schedule.  He will perform at about a dozen different venues this summer.  Taylor will also be back to perform again at the Tanglewood Music Center over July 4th weekend.

Taylor had a very successful co-headlining tour two summers ago with Carole King which they called the Troubador Reunion Tour.  His songs bring back memories of simpler times when we didn’t have cell phones, laptops, twitter, facebook  and ipods.

Since I was a child born in the late 50′s, I must sometimes say I really do miss those times because we were kids who rode our bikes, swam, and took walks in the woods.  Now, I feel like the bad guy when I have to tell my 16 year old to turn off his X-box because sadly he is addicted to video games.  We would also read books outside when the weather was nice and skate in the winter.  I could go on an on about the old times but I must say that James Taylor’s music always reminds me of those times!!

This legendary top star was born in Macon, GA, in 1977 and raised by his mother Debbie because only at the age of three his parents were divorced. He used to spend his summer time with his father Barry. Barry was the first mentor to teach him to play the guitar. He used to listen the songs and tried to play them himself on the guitar. His parents were pleased about his hobby and they encouraged him to make it his passion. He desired to perform on the stage after watching the Country Music Awards on TV. This opportunity was blessed to him by his mother to fulfill his longing at the local VWF hall in Macon where he sang two songs by his favorite singers and was applauded immensely. This heartened him much and he started performing at area talent contests and local fairs. Jason connected to the House Band at the Macon nightspot Nashville South only at the age of fifteen.

Jason commenced his music profession on a permanent foundation with his father as a booking agent. He also personally sponsored an eight song CD during this period to sell at shows. At an Atlanta showcase, Michael Knox marked him significantly and signed to a song writing contract with Warner-Chapell Publishing, which permitted Aldean to move to Nashville in 1998. However singing to write songs for the company, he headed to music city where he was proposed a recording contract. It could not prove fruitful for him, so he signed with another label right away afterward.

A number of music managerial did not bring him any contract and he was so depressed by this that he decided to quit the field. At that moment, Lawrence Mathis appeared as an angel in disguise and spotted him at one of his showcase at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. Mathis, he chose and signed as his new and original manager and gave him a target of half a year to bring some destiny to him. Only five weeks later, Broken Bow Records presented him a deal and released his platinum selling original self-titled CDUnder the production of Michael Knox in 2007, his sophomore album, Relentless was released with a big bang song of Johnny Cash which peaked at #6. It was released on May 29, 2007 with a limited Edition CMT Pick DVD that included his performances. Encouraged to this, he released his next album Wide Open in 2009. Its hit single She’s Country, debuted #51 on the hot country songs chart. He performed with Bryan Adams on an episode of CMT Crossroads in the start of May which premiered on June 26, 2009. He found it great but his real highlight was for working with Randy Owen.

His latest album was released in November 2010, My Kinda Party and its lead off title single earned him the fame he had been longing for a long time. His single Dirt Road Anthem debuted on the Hot Country Songs charts at#57.

Bryan Adams is a talented rock singer, producer, bass player, guitar player, actor and photographer from Canada…Wow… is there anything Bryan isn’t good at!!

Adams has either won or been nominated for awards from these prestigious organizations over the years:

20 Juno Awards, 15 Grammy Award Nominations (including a win in 1992 for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television), MTV Awards, ASCAP Awards, American Music Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Academy Awards.  He was also ordered special Canadian Awards  (Order of Canada and Order of British Columbia) for his contributions to music and charity.

Another accomplishment Adams can be proud of is being inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past March.  If you ever visit this amazing exhibit, he is the 2,435th star!  Additionally Bryan became a member of the Canada’s Walk of Fame in 1998.  He is also part of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

The Billboard Hot 100 ranked him at number 38 on the list of All Time Top Artists.  As you can see this guy is truly amazing and very talented.  He’s also an all around good guy since he does many philanthropic things for the needy and less fortunate.

Zac Brown founded the band in 2002 in Georgia.  He was a student at the University of West Georgia and he often performed in local clubs.  After 9/11, he decided to pursue music since one never knows what tomorrow will bring.  He began his own record label in 2003 which has the appropriate name of “Home Grown.”  He opened up a restaurant and music club a year later in Lake Oconee, Georgia.  He partnered with his father in this venture and the place is named Zac’s Place.

The Zac Brown Band is one of only several bands throughout history that became an overnight success.  They have been nominated for many special music awards throughout the years.  Some of the nominations they have received  are four nominations at the 2009 CMA Awards for New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Single of the Year and Music Video of the year for “Chicken Fried.”

Zac Brown Band is also the recipient of 3 Grammy nominations for the categories of Best New Artist, Best Country Album, Best Country Performance by a Duo or Band.

Barry Manilow was born in 1943 and currently has many things to be proud of.  He contributed to the American music industry in several ways. Not only has he had countless number one hits,  but he has also served as a song writer, musician and producer.  In all of these roles, Barry Manilow has proved himself to be the best.  His complete original name was Barry Alan Pincus and he was born to a Jewish mother, Edna Manilow, and a half- Jewish father, Harold Pincus.  He graduated from the Eastern District High School  in 1961.  After his graduation, Barry was interested in studying the performing arts.  He applied for admission in Juiliard performing arts school.  However, he continued working for a company in order to make ends meet.

It was that time when Barry decided to drop his father’s name so that his mother maiden name could be adopted.  Thus Barry Pincus became Barry Manilow. While he was working at CBS, Manilow got a chance to meet Bro Herrod who was a director and wanted Manilow to arrange some songs for him.  These songs were to be arranged for a melodrama entitled Drunkard.  His creativity was challenged as Manilow was assigned this job so he refused to arrange the existing songs rather he came up with entirely original score. Herrod liked Manilow’s work a lot and decided to include songs in the Off Broadway musical. This musical was opened and it ran at the 13th Street Theater for about eight years. Thus Manilow got several opportunities to earn decent money as he was now a pianist, producer and song arranger.

Then Barry decided to try something new in his career so he became inclined towards writing commercial jingles. Some of the Jingles that he wrote became very famous. Barry decided to perform these jingles by himself most of the time so as to communicate that passion with which he had intended while writing that Jingle.  Working as a Jingle Writer was the longest job taken on by Barry until he planned to become musical director for the series Callback  which premiered in 1968.  Manilow met with Bette Midler in the early 1970′s and later she served him as a musical director.  This was the time when Barry Manilow was working on releasing his first album entitled, Barry Manilow.  In this album, Manilow was interested in presenting a fusion of piano-driven pop and guitar driven rock and this fusion was the ultimate fusion that was about to be released. This album was recorded in 1974 after a contract was signed with Bell Records.

Singles included in that album were “Cloudburst” and “Could it be Magic.”   “Could It be Magic” was based on Chopin’s Prelude in C minor.  Both of these singles helped Barry increase his fan base as these singles were well received by music listeners.  Even more excitement came to Manilow’s career after the Barry Manilow II album was released.  This album was released in association with Bell Records, however, later on it was reissued on Arista Records.  Barry Manilow II was Barry’s second album and included a single entitled Mandy.  Barry Manilow didn’t want this single to be recorded by the name of Mandy as originally the name Brandy was suggested for the single.  Davis propelled Manilow to record and release this single which provided a major breakthrough to the voice of Barry. Within no time this single became number one hit on Billboard Charts.

Mandy was just the beginning of a long successful journey as several succeeding albums were released and singles were added to the success of Barry as a singer.  Some of the albums that were certified either platinum or gold include Tryin’ to get the Feeling, This One’s for You and Even Now.  It’s interesting to note that  even though Barry Manilow had already proved himself as one of the best songwriters, his breakthrough songs were written by other writers.
